The barber pole is one of those symbols that most have grown up seeing, but few know the true meaning behind the symbol. With the advancement of modern medicine, the “Barber-Surgeon” has gone obsolete. However, years ago a Barber-Surgeon would fulfill common needs from cutting hair to pulling teeth and performing minor surgeries. By bringing health to a common place, they were cornerstones of their communities. It may sound gritty, but the red on the barber pole represents the blood that was lost in barbershops, while the white represents the bandage and health that came after.

We specialize in men’s haircuts, beard grooming and face shaves: all done by highly experienced, licensed and professionally trained barbers. Don’t expect a $60 spa experience, our goal is to bring Alfani’s grittiness to the community by focusing on one thing: amazing cuts. Side-parts, tapers, pompadours, flattops, high-and-tights, crew cuts and clipper cuts: we do it all. Our shop is kid-friendly and, although we are known for men’s cuts, anyone who is looking for their “go-to” barber is welcome.
